S. GHOSE & CO Chartered Accountants LLP, a leading multi-service professional organisation had seen the light of earth on the 1st day of January, 1943 under the stewardship of late Sailen Ghose who held an exalted position in the very First Council (1949 – 1952) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as one of the leading Central Council Members.
Late S. Ghose continued to remain in the council of the ICAI from 1952 to 1955 and from 1958 to 1961. He left for his heavenly abode on 26th February, 1970 when late Amal Kumar Chakraborty (A. K. Chakraborty) was elevated as the Partner-in-charge of the firm and he took the profession to a new height with International connections and participation in various Committees of the ICAI as the longest serving Central Council Member from 1973 to 1982 and from 1985 to 1997.
Time-tested services of Late A. K. Chakraborty as the Central Council Member of the ICAI and as the Senior partner of S. Ghose & Co. were highly acclaimed by the members of the profession within and without India till the day he left for eternal peace on 11th July, 2008.
