CA. C. Chattopadhay, FCA, DISA
CA. Chandan Chattopadhay is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a diploma holder in Information System Audit (DISA) from the ICAI.
In 1980, as a qualified accountant, CA. Chattopadhay joined Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers Ltd., a public sector Undertaking. During 1984 to 1986, CA. Chattopadhay held the position of Finance Manager in RSI Switchgear (P) Ltd., and he was looking after Financial Management, Tax Planning, Production Planning and matters arising out of Labour Laws.
In August 1986 CA. Chattopadhay joined M/s. S. Ghose & Co. as Tax Consultant and became Partner with effect from 1st April 1987.
He is in charge of the firm’s Audit and Corporate Law Division. He has also been involved in offering advisory services to both Domestic and Foreign Companies on Accounting Systems, Accounting Principles etc and their conformity with Indian /International Accounting Standards.
CA. Chattopadhay was an elected member for 3 years in the five member council of the Eastern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) since the year 2000. He was re-elected for 2nd term of 3 years (2004-07) and he became the Chairman of the Regional Council of ICAI for the year 2004-05.
CA. Chattopadhay was a co-opted member in the Expert Advisory Committee of the Ordnance Factory Board, Govt. of India.
He is presently a member in the Board of Directors of 3 companies namely, “The Durgapur Project Ltd.”, “West Bengal Swarojgar Corporation Ltd” and “Shellac Industries Ltd”.
He is also an empanelled Technical Reviewer of the Quality Review Board constituted by the Govt. of India in exercise of the powers conferred u/s. 28A of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949.
CA. B. K. Sarkar, FCA, DISA, CAIIB
CA. Bitol Kumar Sarkar is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has an additional feather in his cap as a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He has also acquired Diploma in Information System Audit (DISA) from the ICAI.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1973, CA. Sarkar joined UCO Bank. He served the Bank within and outside India. He was selected through merit channel for foreign assignment in overseas Branch of the Bank at Hong Kong in June 1986. He remained at overseas till Dec. 1991. CA. Sarkar experienced himself in dealing with Loan Syndication, Correspondent Banking and Derivative Products. He used to be frequently invited as one of the guest faculties by the Bank training college.
CA. Sarkar during his 28 years’ stint with the bank acquired commendable skill in Project Appraisal, Working Capital Assessment and Foreign Exchange Management.
He joined M/s S. Ghose & Co. in Feb.2003 and was elevated as a partner in July, 2004.
CA. Sarkar has an expertise in Inspection Audit, Concurrent Audit and Statutory Central Audit of Banks and also in Statutory Audit of corporate clients of the firm within and without India.
CA. A. Shaw, FCA, DISA
CA. A. Shaw is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Qualified in 2009, CA. Shaw joined S. Ghose & Co., Chartered Accountants in 2009 and she was elevated as a partner in November, 2010. She has passed ICAI Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from the ICAI. She has also acquired Diploma in Information System Audit (DISA) from the ICAI.
CA. Shaw has wide experience in the areas of Audit Procedures, Corporate Laws and Taxation matters.
CA. R. Dey, FCA
CA. Riten Dey is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980, he had experience, over 28 years, in Industry Accounts, with Haldia Dock Complex as Deputy Manager Finance. He retired from Haldia Dock Complex in the year 2012. Subsequently, he was with M/s. T. K. Ghose & Co., in the capacity of Qualified Assistant for 3 years. He has also Passed ICAI Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from the ICAI.
He joined M/s. S. Ghose & Co LLP, in Jan. 2016 and was elevated as a Partner w.e.f. April, 2016.
CA. Dey has an expertise in Inspection Audit, Concurrent Audit and Statutory Central Audit of Banks and also in Statutory Audit of corporate clients of the firm.
CA. Sumita Bose Roy, FCA
CA Sumita Bose Roy is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978, she worked in M/s Mookherje Biswas and Pathak, Chartered Accountants till August 1979. She has also Passed ICAI Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from the ICAI.
Thereafter, she joined Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, where she acquired 34 years experience in diverse functions covering Audit, Finance, Human Resource Management and International Trade and Risk Management. She headed Audit and International Departments as Executive Director.
Her experience covers:

▪ International business, Shipping and Hedging and Commodity Risk Management.

CA. Pradip Kumar Mitra, FCA
CA. Pradip Kumar Mitra is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980, he has had experience of about 40 years, in Industry Finance & Accounts, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Costing as well as in inter-disciplinary Commercial Functions viz. Procurement, Distribution, Inventory Management, Large Contract Negotiations and other related Commercial Functions with various companies both in the Private ( 22 years) and Public ( 18 years) Sectors. The Private Sector Corporates included inter alia TRF Ltd. , Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd. and The Jay Engineering Works Ltd.
He retired as General Manager ( Finance ) from Garden Reach shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd., a Mini-ratna Defence PSU with wide ranging roles and responsibilities including spearheading the implementation of FICO module of ERP under SAP platform. Later, post-retirement, he also worked for about 6 years with The Durgapur Projects Ltd., a renowned Power Utility under the aegis of Govt. of West Bengal as Chief Finance Officer encompassing apart from all areas of Finance and Accounting functions, other commercial functions viz. Procurement, Large Project related issues, EDP, Power Tariff interfacing with Electricity Regulatory Commission and Corporate Restructuring including conclusion of Slump Sale Agreements.
He joined M/s. S. Ghose & Co LLP in April 2021 as a full-time Partner.
CA. Shri Mitra has expertise in Statutory Bank Audit, Statutory and Tax Audits of Large Listed Corporate PSU, mid-sized Corporates, Partnership Firms and other related work of the Firm from time to time.
